GTO lays the foundation for growth across all businesses and functions by making the Bank as stable and efficient as it can be today, while building a scalable model with the right systems and people, to respond swiftly to challenges of tomorrow.

About the programme

The China Group Technology & Operations (GTO) Banking Associate Programme is a 14-month programme offering structured rotations and training for recent graduates. Comprised of two comprehensive rotations within Technology or Operations, combined with a stretch assignment where you will participate in a GTO business project or cross function project, the programme offers an excellent development platform to grow and succeed with the Bank in this emerging market.

Our GTO Banking Associate Programme welcomes people who are creative thinkers, open-minded and above all ambitious.

Programme streams

Graduates can select from one of two streams - Operations or Technology.

The programme structure is tailored to the stream you select. Regardless of which stream you choose, all graduates will receive personal career guidance from senior management, experience rotations and undergo extensive training to equip you with the relevant skills and knowledge to accelerate your career with us.

You will also have the opportunity to work in different locations, either during your rotations or on deployment.

During the programme you will take part in a number of rotations and development opportunities:

Rotation 1 - Training
One month structured functional and soft skill training.
Rotations 2 and 3 - Operations and / or Technology
Two four month rotations in either Cash, Loan Processing Unit, Change Management, Process Management, Client Service Group, Technology Service Management or Project Services.
Rotation 4 - GTO or cross function project
At the end of the stretch assignment you can expect to use the project management methodology you have learned to independently deliver a stretch project with specific objectives and outcomes over a five month period.

In addition, a structured training programme will give you two days per month of in-house functional and soft-skill training, as well as exposure to senior management.
