GradLink and The British Council are excited to introduce a six-part webinar-based programme: the Career Essentials Series. This collaboration has been designed to equip final-year students and early graduates with the skills, knowledge, and strategies needed to successfully enter the global job market and the first two sessions start this April. Helen Etheridge, Global Programme Lead for Alumni UK at British Council shares “We’re delighted to partner with GradLink on the Career Essentials Series, which represents a valuable extension of our offer to UK alumni worldwide. This collaboration opens up new opportunities for our alumni network to connect with employers, strengthen their professional profiles, and navigate the global job market with confidence.”

Each session provides practical guidance on building a professional profile, showcasing your UK qualification, networking, and navigating the ever-changing workplace, helping participants to confidently take the next step in their careers. Sessions will be delivered by a diverse range of speakers from industry and academia as well as successful alumni. Speakers include from the universities of Oxford, London and Warwick, KPMG, EY, Accenture, Grant Thornton, GSK and LinkedIn.

28 April - Leverage Your UK Qualification in the Global Job Market

Effectively communicating the value of your UK qualification can set you apart in an international job market. This session explores what makes a UK education distinctive and how to present it convincingly to employers overseas. Participants will gain practical advice on showcasing the skills, experiences, and cultural insights gained through their UK studies, both in applications and interviews.

30 April - Create a Digital Presence for Job Success

11 June- Thrive in the Transforming Workplace

The workplace will experience more change in the next five years than it has in the previous twenty. AI is a key driver—even for non-technical roles. Green skills are also in rising demand.
