Canada′s best job opportunities

Did you know that the Google search term ‘how to move to Canada’ increased by 1500% during the US election. If you’re a returning graduate, we’ve spotted a few great sectors where you could make your mark.

AOL recently published an article on some of Canada’s most attractive job opportunities, using Monster’s job data bank. As we’re always on the lookout for graduate news and employment trends, we thought we’d share them with you below. Don’t forget, here at GradLink we offer an abundance of exciting positions based in Canada, so make sure you check out our job board, too.

Retail management

With over 12,000 current opportunities for store supervisors and shop managers, retail could be the perfect place to kick off your management career. Remember, the larger the company you work for, the further up the ladder you may be able to climb. Don’t just look for in-store vacancies. Often, retail businesses have head office roles like PR and marketing managers available, too. If you’re looking for your first step on the management ladder, retail could be a good place to start.

Sales and account managers

Are you looking for a fast-paced and exciting client-facing role? Sales Management is an ever-growing industry in Canada with 12,000 plus job openings across the country. These roles typically pay more than retail roles and have sizeable room for bonuses and commissions for those who excel.

Customer information representatives

With nearly 12,000 job openings, customer information is our final sector of choice. If you want to help people learn about products or help them fix issues with recent purchases, this could be the role for you. A rewarding career, there are plenty of opportunities for progression within customer services and it can be less stressful than a straight-up sales role.

Whatever graduate role you’re looking for, Gradlink can help. We currently have openings for Project Coordinators, IT Support Specialists, Administrative Assistants, Software Development Engineers and Resource Coordinators on our website. Not to mention our unmissable internships available through big-name employers like EY, Intel and more. Register with us today and start building your CV.
