Malaysia′s top 10 talent trends for 2016

According to recruiting experts Hays, Malaysia is an ideal location for multinational companies to open service centres for their business.  

The country’s well-connected geographic location, language capabilities and abundant pool of skilled workers make it a tempting destination for companies to set up centres there and hire Malaysian employees.  

"We will see a growing number of new regional centres established and rising demand for skilled candidates to fill their job vacancies in 2016," said Tom Osborne, the regional director of Hays in Malaysia.  

Hays has predicted that Malaysia’s job market will experience a surge in activity in 2016.  

It has identified the 10 biggest talent trends for the country, which are:

  • Revival of retail banking  
  • Growth of online business 
  • IT security  
  • Big data 
  • Life sciences 
  • Higher status of HR Professionals 
  • De-tariffication in General Insurance  
  • Manufacturing  
  • Talent Pool
