Purchasing Administrator
Job Description & Qualifications
As a Purchasing Administrator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the IT Procurement Team. Your main duties will include managing vendor communication, tracking and updating procurement records, and assisting in the coordination of IT projects. You will work closely with the Assistant Managers team to ensure that all administrative tasks related to procurement and license management are completed accurately and on time. Your role will be instrumental in supporting the efficient operation of the Procurement Lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with administrative tasks related to procurement activities ensuring accurate compliance with software procurement policies and procedures
- Responding to queries related to entitlement, process, and governance via the centralised mailbox
- Delivering the administrative function of the software asset management service across the business, ensuring a high quality, timely, and consistent service
- Administer and maintain IT Procurements Data Repositories
- Respond to queries on entitlement, process, and governance via the centralised mailbox
- Providing reactive and proactive IT service provision with others to deliver an excellent stakeholder experience for users of the software procurement service
- Govern, adhere, and support the processes for IT Procurement
- Administration of Software Asset system and its data, ensuring housekeeping and maintenance is undertaken
- Plan and organise own workload whether as part of day-to-day activities or when involved in project work or renewals
Experience
- Working knowledge and experience using internal ERP and source to pay systems (Evision/SmartSource)
- Experience of an IT service management system (ServiceNow) for dealing with requests and incidents
Qualifications
- SAHAM/SAM desirable
- IAITAM, CSAM or equivalent desirable
- ITIL V3 foundation desirable
- CIPS desirable
