Role Purpose

Ensuring hardware test strategies are documented, created and implemented, that relevant quality assurance is completed, with relevant stakeholders both in IT, outside of IT (within the business) and with 3rd parties, and that templates are available so that standards can be set in testing

Assist Project Managers and Transition with the organization and controlling of the test process. To ensure visibility, traceability, and control of the testing process to deliver successful results.

Act as the gate keeper for testing, to ensure correct process has been followed, and correct practice has been implemented, ensuring global standards are set for testing in IT

Key Deliverables

• Conduct risk assessment, risk management, quality assurance, report writing and scheduling for this project in regard to all test related activity
• Develop testing strategies for project
• Setting up test schedules and preparing and maintaining test plans, scripts and test cases
• Providing feedback to technical resources where required and where relevant
• Overseeing and quality assuring tests conducted, included those conducted by 3rd parties
• Minimize budget expenditure on tests through improved practice and flagging areas for improvement
• Be an ambassador for IT, working across the business to provide effective communication departments on IT matters and build relationships with other teams to ensure effective dialogue between

Qualifications & Experience

• Relevant Test and Quality assurance qualification and experience - this is hardware testing, not software

Other Experience

• A good understanding of data lineage
• Experience of testing in an agile environment
• Experience of software development lifecycles
• Data warehouse testing experience
• Experience of ETL testing
• Experience with Power BI application
• Experience in database testing
• Service-related focus with the ability to place yourself in the position of the customer to understand their concerns and issues
• Must work to a high degree of accuracy with good attention to detail, resulting in consistent documentation.
• An analytical approach to problem solving.
• Excellent stakeholder identification and management.
• Expertise in MS office toolset, including Word, Excel & Visio.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical information and risks to non-technical users.
• Ability to present ideas and information to both technical and non-technical audiences

Job Skills/Competencies Required

• An in-depth knowledge of Cloud technologies with proven experience of testing in these environments (Azure preferable)
• A good understanding of the Modern Data Platform and its individual components. Testing of data flows within this environment is preferable.
