Job Description & Qualifications

We are looking for graduates to join our team of consultants providing independent advice on environmental issues to the public and private sectors.  To keep ahead of scientific, technological and legislative change we review continually and develop our services to ensure that our clients receive advice which satisfies both current best practice and anticipates future demands. 

Our graduates are involved in a range of projects including hydrogeological impact assessments for mineral sites, assessment of the groundwater, surface water resources and flooding for new developments, hydrogeological risk assessments of the potential risks to groundwater arising from current and proposed waste management facilities including landfill and the design of containment systems for such facilities and the investigation and assessment of risks from contaminated land.

The role will be both office based and site based.  Site works will involve ground gas, groundwater and surface water monitoring and sampling, site investigation including the supervision of borehole drilling and trial pitting, geological logging and the collection of samples.  Office based work includes the research of information for desk studies, assessment of monitoring databases and the preparation of reports.

  Your skills and qualifications
  To be considered for our graduate recruitment programme you need to have:

  • An MSc in hydrogeology or a related MSc subject although consideration will also be given to candidates with a degree in geological or geo-environmental sciences
  • A keen interest in developing a career in environmental consultancy
  • Problem solving skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are essential
  • A full UK driving licence
