About the role
As the Data Quality Analyst, you will support and contribute to the continuous evolution of the data quality lifecycle practices. This includes capturing metadata and managing data aligned with the Data Quality lifecycle (origination, definition, lineage, ownership and any associated business rules), working with Senior Data Quality Analysts in the assessment and build of rules, catalogues and definitions established through direct engagement with the business to deliver robust data quality management.
What you will be doing
- Evaluate data elements to identify and ensure all potential risks (financial, people, regulatory & operational) are managed and mitigated effectively through escalation points
- Accurate data profiling, observation reports will be generated and made available to data owners, working collaboratively with Senior Data Quality Analysts
- Assessment and acquisition of metadata onto the HL Data Management tool ensuring accuracy and appropriate steps to ensure quality including peer review
- Profiling large datasets using the HL Data Management tool to determine data quality and integrity
- Develop and maintain data management dashboards working with wider team to generate ideas and that generate visibility of Data Quality across the dimensions
- Investigate data quality issues to identify the size, scale and potential impact to the business
- Formulate and provide recommendations to the Senior Data Quality Analysts and wider data management team, regards data quality outcomes
About you
- Proficiency in SQL & strong analytical skills.
- Experience working with databases and Data Warehouses
- Experience with Data Management, Data Governance or Data Quality Technology
- Experience of data quality and information management life-cycles
- Awareness of data privacy and data risk
- Knowledge of financial services, investment management and associated regulation
- Demonstrated ability to understand and analyse complex business processes and technologies to make sound recommendations to non-technical constituents
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
