We are now recruiting for a Credit Controller to provide on-ground support for the offshore team through a combination of critical local knowledge and hands on resolution of operational issues. You will be responsible for effective management, analysis and problem resolution of the company’s outstanding accounts and the application of payments as well as take the lead in managing key internal and external stakeholders.  You will work with various sales teams and customers to develop a business partnering approach to the management of cash collections from customers. You will help to identify and drive a culture of continuous improvements and support the leadership team to meet the business strategic imperatives. This position will support Accolade’s planned growth trajectory into the future while being a fantastic entry into the accounting team of a global organisation.

This is a full time, permanent position. You will be based from our Bristol office, with flexibility to work from home for part of the week.

Key responsibilities include

  • Export collection activities and customer statement reconciliations for 60 countries
  • Prepare supporting material for approval of write-offs and bad debts from AR Global Lead
  • Support in customer follow-ups
  • Support for roadblocks on reviewing customer profile
  • Managing key internal and external stakeholders within assigned region.
  • Support in customer follow-ups with Account Managers
  • Liaise with sales leads to analyse monthly payment performance report, and agreed prioritisation and / or escalation of any issues identified. 
  • Assist Global Process Lead on developing strategic direction for function, providing advice on any specific in region nuances that may require further consideration
  • To manage and ensure all customers outstanding debts are monitored and collected in accordance with authorised payment terms and targets
  • To ensure that credit limits are adhered to and credit limit reviews are conducted
  • To monitor orders, ensuring credit status is strictly adhered to
  • Support and contribute to the process of continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that processes comply with Approved Business Processes, Credit Policy and Corporate Governance requirements.
  • Review and release orders on credit hold in a timely manner and within cut-off times
  • Obtaining invoice copies and locating proof of delivery
  • Support other team members to cover absences as required
  • Participate in ad-hoc projects as required

What you'll bring

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on Accounting experience in accounts receivable preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively deal with change management and business process improvement.
  • ERP system experience
  • Association of Accounting Technician (AAT) – Qualified
  • Understanding of Sales Ledger Management
  • Credit risk management
  • Attention to detail
  • MS Office Skills (Intermediate)
  • Attention to detail with a focused and structured approach
