As an Executive at Ogilvy you are learning the core skills of managing and making that will form the basis of your future career. You will partner daily with account managers and account leaders to learn about the agency business (operational and delivery excellence, efficiency and speed to market) as well as the client’s business and competitor context and will take on responsibility on retainer accounts and smaller projects with the support of more experienced colleagues. As an Executive on the Corporate PR team, you will also be responsible for creating media materials, including drafting press releases and thought leadership content, as well as developing relationships with journalists in order to secure coverage for your clients, in both the national and trade press. You bring a can-do attitude combined with a strong desire to learn and grow and your passion for the work shines through. You exhibit strong potential to develop relationships with clients and colleagues based on mutual respect and partnership.  

A Bit About You

  • Building strong collaborative relationships with junior level clients 
  • Providing administrative support, including status reports, meeting scheduling, budget tracking, competitor reviews  
  • Creating written media materials eg. press releases, thought leadership articles, executive profiling pitches
  • Developing relationships with key media contacts at the national, broadcast, and trade press to deliver on client objectives
  • Attending weekly calls and maintaining constant contact with clients via email and phone to ensure all work is delivered on time, to a high standard
  • Working with and learning about the agency Capabilities – CE, PR, Advertising, Social and Influence, Consulting and B2B 
  • Beginning to ‘manage the making’ of communications assets and understand Ogilvy’s process and the overall production landscape 
  • Managing small projects and supporting more senior colleagues on larger projects  
  • Assisting with project management/workflow system data entry and reporting 
  • Basic analyses of client’s business results and competitive landscapes  
  • Working to anticipate upcoming needs and hurdles and providing ideas to mitigate 
  • Staying on top of your projects and their finance, including recognising scope change and knowing when to escalate 
  • Assisting with the onboarding of new team members 
  • Establishing and building relationships internally with other megabusinesses as well as with colleagues in Strategy, Programme Management, Creative, etc.
