Job Description & Qualifications

Wherever precision, speed and engineering ability are essential, our customer-facing brand Norgren is there to deliver world-leading motion and fluid control technologies. You’ll get stuck straight into placements covering Engineering, Commercial, Operations and Project Management. The aim is to give you a thorough grounding in our engineering spectrum, although there may be an opportunity for you to specialise.

The programmes are highly international in nature. So please make sure you meet the following criteria before you apply:

  • Right to work in the country you’re applying for
  • Fluency in English (and some countries require local language fluency too)
  • Willingness to relocate frequently, including to other countries
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in relevant discipline

You will receive on-the-job training for each of your placements as well as a training plan with our IMI Learn (online learning) system. This is on top of an initial two-week Induction and a week-long development workshop that all our graduates take part in once they have been with the business for a year. We also support and encourage progression towards chartered engineering status.

**Please note that all application stages are delivered, and must be completed in English.**

**Please note that we recruit on a rolling basis and will close for applications at different times for different locations. We recommend that you submit an application as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.**

Application process

Stage 1: Online application: Fill in the online form confirming you meet our basic entry requirements and providing information about your education and experience.

Stage 2: Situational judgement test: Complete an online test that gauges how you are likely to perform as an IMI graduate through a series of work-based scenarios.

Stage 3: Video interview: Record your responses to live questions designed to give us more insight into your approach to work and interest in working at IMI.

Stage 4: Assessment centre: Participate in a group exercise, face-to-face interview and work-based task, and complete a logical and numerical reasoning test. (if required by COVID19 restrictions this will be delivered virtually)

If your application is successful, you will begin employment with us in September 2022, starting with a two-week induction.

Job Skills/Competencies Required

Beyond a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant discipline, we look for graduates who have a fresh, innovative mindset and an openness to new and varied experiences. You must also have excellent written and spoken English.
