Job Description & Qualifications

The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) is the business–to–business arm of The Economist Group, which publishes The Economist newspaper. As the world's leading provider of country intelligence, The EIU helps executives make better business decisions by providing timely, reliable and impartial analysis on worldwide market trends and business strategies.

The Database Marketing team manages the EIU’s customer and prospect data, which underpins regular marketing communications and client engagement activities. The Database Marketing Executive is responsible for reporting and analysis leads, accounts and contacts for various business needs, maintaining data quality, data enhancements, data uploading, removing unsubscribes, updating records with new details and other tasks to maintain the quality of the data in the EIU’s CRM system (


How you will contribute:

  • Produce regular reports, including on data quality KPIs and qualified leads, contacts and accounts
  • Undertake Data Audits, data maintenance and ensure the accuracy of information in the CRM database
  • Enter new data or resolve imported data issues and perform data entry work, as necessary, to maintain integrity of data within the CRM database
  • Coordinate data research and list build schedules to ensure a consistent flow of new prospects to sales teams
  • Compile data for marketing campaigns and other activities along with reporting and analysis
  • Liaise with the marketing, account management and business development teams regarding the latest client details and information
  • Ensure customer data is complete, accurate and up to date
  • Help and support Salesforce Lightning users and train them on Lightning interface


  • Minimum 3-6 Years of experience working within a CRM database ( is preferred)

Job Skills/Competencies Required

  • Analytical bent of mind and well versed with reporting in Salesforce
  • Understanding of associated database applications, such as Demand Tools
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills
  • Familiar with standard MS Office applications (Excel expertise a plus)
  • Demonstrate good organizational skills
  • Proficient at data analysis, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines
  • Work effectively within a team environment
