The role

We are looking for a junior application specialist to join our expanding customer service team. You will help solve customer problems, create training materials, and help our growing customer base to work better. As a junior application specialist, you will work closely with our team of experts who interact daily with customers as well as our commercial, product, and development teams.

The Responsibilities Of The Role Include

  • Being part of a global problem-solving team that supports our clients and our client-facing business
  • Responding to incidents and requests a timely manner
  • Helping with communicating and training around the use of our engineering software
  • Producing videos and other documents demonstrating how to best use our technical software
  • Creating and maintaining validation calculations
  • Collaborating with our commercial teams to help promote the use of our software
  • Collaborating with our product teams to communicate customer requirements
  • Collaborating with our development teams, logging bugs and testing solutions
  • Bring your knowledge, expertise, and enthusiasm to the growing Oasys software family

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience



Job Skills/Competencies Required

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, supported by excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail
  • Some knowledge of computational engineering and design methods and be keen to expand your knowledge further in a professional environment
  • Strong team working skills, willing to build trusted relationships with people and groups with diverse backgrounds
  • Self-motivated, keen to learn, and
  • Familiarity with technical software solutions from Oasys, CSi, Tekla, etc.

Desirable

  • Good analytical skills, with an ability to solve complex problems
  • Experience of Python, Grasshopper, etc.
