Job Description

General Motors Israel (Herzliya) takes a significant part in shaping the autonomous vehicle. We shape the face of the future vehicles in diverse fields by developing cutting edge technologies. We work on Active Safety, Smart Sensing, Vision Systems, Signal Processing, Machine Learning, Sensor Fusion, cyber security, Artificial Intelligence and Cognitive Systems. 

The team is responsible for Middle-ware Software infrastructure design and development. The Middle-ware handle large throughput of data communication form multiple applications and sensors in the autonomous vehicle. The team also design and develop the Smart learning and Update application that enable continuous SW improvement via communication with  the cloud.

We're looking for a Junior Real Time SW Engineer to join the middle-ware team!

What will YOU do?

  • You'll Develop, implement, integrate and optimize the new Autonomous (AV) application and infrastructure software into production embedded controllers with high-end multi-core processor(s).
  • You'll Define embedded software requirements and design for operational SW components as well as interactions among the system and subsystems from feature definitions and higher level requirements.
  •  You'll Performs complex design analysis Specifies and balances system requirements.
  • You'll Performs as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for at least one platform or application component.

What are We looking For?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering / Computer Science - Com Laude Graduates will also be considered .
  • 2 years experience of real time software development in Linux/QNX Posix environment.

Job Skills/Competencies Required

  • Experience with C/C++ development
  • Experience with Python
  • Problem solving and debugging skills
  • Writing SW requirements, High/Low level design documents
