During your tenure as an IT Procurement Support - Associate in IT, you will demonstrate and develop your capabilities in the following areas:

  • Following and enforcing the company's procurement policies and procedures.
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
  • Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Reviewing, comparing, and analyzing products and services to be purchased.
  • Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
  • Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
  • Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
  • Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
  • Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
  • Comparing and evaluating offers from suppliers
  • Remain courteous and patient with end users
  • Work as part of a team to consistently achieve team targets

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Experience as a procurement support associate or in a similar position.

Job Skills/Competencies Required

  • The potential candidate should be self-motivated with an ability to survive in a progressive IT environment, along with understanding of new technologies from procurement perspectives.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task are essential.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet critical deadlines

  • Good analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail.
