About the Role:

An opportunity has arisen for Assistant Finance Manager to join the Finance Team at Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

The main responsibilities are:

  • Analysing monthly Profit & Loss Statement.
  • Preparation of ad hoc reports and presentations.
  • To ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and does not have any unauthorised postings.
  • Assisting Director of Finance in preparing the monthly Forecast, Balance Sheet and other monthly reports.
  • To post all the journals required to allocate the expenses to correct cost centres as part of month end process for SBU Level.
  • To assist department with their queries on P&L.
  • Any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.
  • Assisting yearly Budget Preparation and assisting monthly forecast.
  • Assisting to Analyst for Regional review presentation.
  • Prepare and update the results (quarterly basis) for the Finance Key Indicator Performance.
  • Prepare Shop Rental monthly charges and reconciliation.
  • Update the monthly actual figures in Hyperion and Financial Management System.
  • Review and consolidated the results for the colleagues quarterly bonus.
  • Review and consolidated the results for the colleagues Service charges on monthly.
  • Verify various Incentives postings and payments.
  • Maintain and update trackers (contracts, insurance, accruals, CAPEX) where and when required.
  • Time to time giving training to coordinators based on situation/requirements for P&L and ledger review.
  • Handling internal Audit every quarter.
  • Assisting colleagues whenever is required.
  • Any task delegated by DOF including investigation of suspected fraudulent transactions   with preventive measures to avoid recurrence (optional).

About you:

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Degree in Hotel Management, Accounting Degree or CIMA
  • Minimum 2 years accounting experience up to finalization
  • Ability to forecast Business Performance
  • Ability to fill in for Director of Finance with timely Solutions, problem solving
  • Good Analytical  Skills
  • Advanced Excel Skills, Well Versed with Oracle, Hyperion, PMS & POS Systems will be advantage
