Job Description & Qualifications

The Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) department supports the largest Polish and foreign companies in the process of broadly understood corporate acquisition. We advise on the largest merger and acquisition projects, both on the buyer's and seller's side. We are a laureate of numerous awards, including in 2019 the jury of the "Investment Diamonds" competition honored us with the title of "Transaction Advisor of the Year".

The Valuation, Modeling & Economics (VME) team, which is part of TAS, consists of specialists in the field of building comprehensive, integrated financial models that enable the preparation of valuations of enterprises, intangible assets and fixed assets. On a daily basis, we create complex tools and analyzes that are used by investors and decision-makers to make specific business decisions, e.g. buying / selling a company or implementing a given investment project (based on IRR and NPV analysis).

Your main tasks:

  • Preparation of business valuations, financial models, market analyzes
  • Preparation of valuation reports and investment business plans
  • Preparing offers for potential EY customers
  • Participating in internal project meetings as well as meetings with EY clients

The following would be an additional advantage:

  • Having or being in the process of obtaining CFA / ACCA / CIMA certificates
  • Experience gained in a consulting company in a position related to valuations, financial modeling, M&A consulting

Job Skills/Competencies Required

The ideal candidate will be characterized by a very good knowledge of issues in the area of ​​corporate finance and easy use of the Excel spreadsheet, which will be used in everyday work. Additionally, the ideal candidate will be willing to develop further and be open to teamwork. 

Necessary skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of issues of Corporate Finance, accounting, analysis of financial statements
  • Knowledge of issues related to the methods of conducting business valuations, building financial models
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office, especially MS Excel

An additional advantage will be:

  • Very good command of the English language
  • Great attention to detail, analytical mind
