Our Global Secure Access Operations team is continuously expanding. Currently, there are 60 teammates in the Czech Republic, Malaysia and the USA. As the demand and importance of Network Security Services keep growing in DHL, we have adopted a Follow the Sun operating model, in order to provide 24x7 support to the company.

The team consists of all levels of network security geeks; from Junior members who are eager to learn and gain experience to technology Gurus who are with the company for more than 10 years. No matter your level of network security proficiency, you can always grow within our diverse environment.

A day in the life of a Network Security Engineer:

Timely delivery of DHL packages around the globe in a way that ensures customer data are secure is in the core of what we do. You will provide second/third level day-to-day operation support, and help investigate and resolve incidents, which were not resolved in lower support levels. Sometimes, issues might get tricky and this is where cooperation on troubleshooting with other IT support teams and specialists will come into play. When it comes to firmware bugs, vulnerabilities and other issues related to our technologies, communicating with our vendors is key.

For any issues related to telecommunication/security systems within the DP DHL environment, you are our superhero. The same applies when it comes to managing, proposing and implementing all necessary changes to production security devices in all IT Services Data Centers and premises, providing global availability to key DP DHL services.

Last but not least, security technologies associated with Firewalls, Load Balancers, VPNs, Proxies, Azure and Google Cloud are all in your support league.

As a Network Security Engineer, having at least 2 years of experience in the field of Telecommunications/Network or Network Security is a huge plus.

The submitted extract of criminal record may not be older than 3 months as of the day of its submission.



Job Skills/Competencies Required

  • You are a network security aficionado, therefore you have a good understanding of at least one of the following Network Security technologies - Firewalls (Fortinet, CheckPoint, Juniper, Cisco), Citrix Netscaler, F5 BIG-IP, Remote Access VPNs or Proxy Technologies. Or you are a Linux fan who is familiar with one of the distributions and wants to move into the field of Network Security.
  • You are able to work independently, prioritize and organize your tasks under time and workload pressure. Working in a multinational environment, you can expect cross-region collaboration with teams around the globe, thus being advanced in spoken and written English will be certainly useful.
  • Very good knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DNS protocols will also be an integral part of this role.
