In your role you will be responsible for bringing all these advantages to our customers following their business needs.

As a Functional Consultant, you will have a central role in the implementation of APS (Advanced Planning & Scheduling) solutions to our customer: starting with the understanding of the business process and identification of our client’s requirements until the solutions are being delivered and tested, the functional consultant is actively involved in all development phases and ensures progress within the defined scope.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with customer's professional experts for scope definition and requirements identification
  • Prepare qualitative functional analysis documentation and introduce requirements to the development team
  • Work closely with an Agile team of highly motivated Business Consultants, Technical Consultant and Developers on solution design, technical analysis and documentation
  • Define test scenarios and corner cases to the designed solution against the client's requirement
  • Execute tests on non-productive environments, identify bugs and confirm model delivery
  • Interact with the client’s team in their language and form a long-lasting working relationship with the customer
  • Work in an Agile Scrum team and be part of a SAFe project organization
  • Short-term project based business travel when required.

Qualifications

What makes the difference?

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree (engineering/ business informatics or equivalent exposure to the IT industry or business analysis)
  • 2+ years’ experience in working with IT teams in a similar role (Business Analyst, Requirements Engineer, Product Owner) or experience in the Manufacturing industry/ shop-floor (functional or technical),
  • Experience in working with customers, creating/designing solutions for their requirements;


Job Skills/Competencies Required

  • Good analytical & troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent Presentation & Communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented, multicultural environment
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication in both German and English.
  • Experience in working with in APS solutions or other Manufacturing related software (MES, LIMS, ERP, PLM) is an advantage
  • Experience with object-oriented modeling (UML) and programming languages such as Java, C++,C#, VB.NET is a plus
  • Knowledge of rail or logistics industry is a plus
  • Experience with large-scale software implementations and client-based project work is considered a plus
  • Affinity with databases (Oracle, SQL Server) and interface technologies (e.g., SOAP, MQ, JMS, ODBC) is a plus
