Job Description & Qualifications

You will provide second level of application support to DHL Freight business unit in order to ensure the maximum availability and minimal disruption to business continuity.

Your work:

  • Deliver application support within Service Level Agreements to freight business users according to ITS processes with the main focus on Incident and Problem Management
  • Demonstrate ownership of assigned events and incidents through to restoration and collaborate with other support teams within the organization and external suppliers
  • Coordinate activities and communicate with impacted stakeholders as per incident management process
  • Maintain the knowledge of supported applications
  • Support delivery of projects throughout their lifecycle
  • Seek to continuously improve efficiency within supported applications
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call support (paid extra)

You should have:

  • Previous experience in application support
  • Experience with support of Transport Management System (TMS) or worked at logistics companies as a consultant
  • Masters an application from business point of view and wishes to learn a new application in quite detail to be able to reproduce scenarios by users.
  • Strong analytical thinking, very good communication skills in English, capability to cope with complex business processes
  • Hands-on experience with LINUX operating systems and any common scripting languages e.g. BASH
  • Knowledge on SQL, Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Good time-management, organizational, multi-task and prioritization skills

Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Java SE and Service Now
  • Experience in debugging, automated testing
  • Knowledge of financial accounting, logistics
  • ITIL Foundation V3 certificated
