Job Title: Testing Engineer
Job brief
The engineer is responsible for measuring fundamental physical properties of different materials and mixtures of different materials and predict the properties. The successful candidate will support and work closely with refrigerant R&D team, and support team for any refrigerant physical properties-related request.
Responsibilities
- Thermal physical property lab daily operation and analyses
- Test thermophysical properties of new refrigerant and new blends, and establish database according to the demand
- Develop properties package for new refrigerant
- Provide test data analysis and summary report to test owner
- Expand lab capability to meet specific/unique needs of refrigerant R&D teams in Asia
- File patent to protect research results
- Follows up rules from lab 5S & HSE requirements; Safety is first thing to do
- Strictly carries out sample received process (labeling, storage & disposal), Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), and Chemical Inventory System (CIS)
- Takes ownership for assigned lab space and equipment and should keep them in order
Requirements
- Familiar with the experimental measurement of thermophysical properties of refrigerant, such as density, viscosity, vapor liquid equilibriums etc.
- Master degree in engineering thermophysics, or physical chemistry, the majors should include engineering thermodynamics or chemical thermodynamics.
- Preferred candidates shall have know-how on flammability and compatibility.
- Great passion and willingness to grab new skill.
- Quick learner and effective communicator. Be enough patient, team-work spirit, customer focus and result-oriented.
- Strong execution capability and independent working capability.
