This position is within the market sector Renewable Energy of the Power Division. This market sector specializes in renewable projects related to wind, solar and battery storage. We work in collaboration with public and private sector clients on innovative projects that allow our team members to prove their expertise and to train a new generation of passionate people.

In order to meet these growth challenges, WSP is currently looking for an WindServer Analyst to join our WindServer team. WindServer is WSP’s online data management service for meteorological data collected at prospective and operational renewable energy project sites located around the world. A day in the life:

  • Interpret data streams from solar and wind measurement equipment;
  • Quality control analysis of wind and solar data using WindServer and in-house tools;
  • Weekly Quality Control review of wind and solar data;
  • Communication to client manager of identified issues;
  • Update WindServer with all maintenance work and new tower installs;
  • Review/Validate WindServer entries;
  • Data and Equipment Management within WindServer;
  • Maintain vendor equipment lists;
  • Assist with equipment selection for meteorological deployment plans;
  • Coordinate with manufacturers and interpret technical documentation;
  • Collaborate with WSP’s wind and solar teams to develop quality control practices.

What you'll bring to WSP ...

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in engineering, mathematics, statistics, data science or applicable technical discipline;

Job Skills/Competencies Required

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret graphical data;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools (Excel, Word, Outlook);
  • Proficiency with Matlab;
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative environment;
  • Ability to learn to use new software tools;
  • Ability to work independently and adhere to project deadlines;
  • Affinity for improving workflow processes; the ability to balance standardization while increasing processes efficiency and quality;
  • Pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach to problem solving;
  • Effective communication and inter-personal skills for client and team interactions.
