Job Description & Qualifications

As a Technical Writer, you have the opportunity to develop compelling self-help content that will help Alida customers, partners, and employees achieve their TXM goals through our platforms and technologies. You will be focusing primarily on user and administrator documentation and knowledge base articles as required. You will be working with key internal stakeholders across the documentation, product management, and development teams.

What You'll Be Doing In This Role

  • Writing new product documentation and knowledge base articles
  • Revising and maintaining existing content
  • Working closely with the Documentation Team Manager, Product Management Team, and other key internal stakeholders to assess content needs and then develop, plan, and produce content
  • Working with development teams in an agile/scrum environment
  • Testing content workflows and concepts in the software
  • Passing content through editorial and review processes
  • Assisting in developing best practice documents as required
  • Recommending, implementing, and adhering to content standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism, or related field. Diploma or certification in technical communication is a plus.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience producing self-help content (how-to videos, end-user documentation, help articles, or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with structured authoring, DITA, and authoring tools like XMetaL
  • Familiarity with lean/agile software development practices
  • Excellent writing ability and the samples to match
