We are currently seeking a Security Administrator to join our Information Security team. In this role, the successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting CI’s Information Security program.

What you will do:

  • Perform security related operational tasks
  • Configure and support security tools (i.e. Web filtering, Network Access Control, SIEM, Access Card, and CCTV systems, etc.)
  • Monitor security advisories for new security exploits and provide recommendations
  • Perform security audits
  • Develop and maintain security related documentation
  • Remain informed on information security trends and issues 
  • Support the employee security awareness program
  • Support the third-party security assessment process
  • Support the Incident Response process
  • Perform vulnerability scans
  • Perform other duties as assigned

After hours and on-call support may be required

hat you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information security or equivalent work experience
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) – (ISC)2-is desirable but not required
  • 1-2 years of in-depth hands-on Information Security experience

Job Skills/Competencies Required

  • Understanding of networking (TCP/IP, OSI model), operating system fundamentals (Windows, UNIX, Linux), security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, AV etc.) and application programming/scripting languages (C, Java, Perl, Shell)
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to conduct research into security issues and products as required
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented collaborative environment
  • Ability to effectively interface with peers and different levels of management
  • Knowledge of information security tools
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
