Scope of this position

The Omni Mont-Royal Hotel is currently looking for a " Banquet Sales Manager  " to maintain current customer accounts, obtain new customer accounts and ensure interdepartmental coordination. and effective communication, with the goal of maximizing hotel performance while maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.

Main responsibilities

  • Contribute to the achievement of financial objectives and maximize department sales;
  • Establish a base of corporate, association and social clients, through external sales efforts, in order to ensure a good volume of business for the unit;
  • Develop sales initiatives, new packages and new tools;
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships to support food & beverage sales and banquet services;
  • Negotiate, produce and review sales contracts, pricing agreements and orders for banquets;
  • Ensure proper use of banquet spaces. Any other similar tasks requested by his immediate superior;

We are looking for someone who  :

  • Has a minimum of 2 years of prior experience in the banquet sales office of a 4 star hotel;
  • Has a Bachelor's degree in hotel management (desirable);
  • Has experience in catering and event organization would be important;
  • Is available to work some evenings, weekends and/or holidays;
  • Any relevant training and experience combined will be considered.

Job Skills/Competencies Required

  • Is fully bilingual;
  • Has an excellent ability to organize and manage priorities;
  • Has excellent interpersonal relationship;
  • Has good interpersonal skills and is sensitive to the quality and standards of service;
  • Proficiency in standard management software (Excel, Word, Outlook);
  • Has knowledge of Delphi / FDC (will be considered an asset);
