We are currently seeking a Programmer Analyst (Data Engineer) to join our Client Reporting & Data Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimizing our enterprise data pipeline to support delivery of enriched data for BI and Client Reporting consumption. The successful candidate will become an integral part of our team by applying their proven development ability to define and drive fit for purpose data pipeline solutions. 

What you will do

  • Design & build large-scale data pipelines and data infrastructure leveraging the wide range of data sources across the organization 
  • Document & assist development teams with best practice, data delivery solutions using enterprise data ingestion, ETL and data management tools 
  • Work closely with infrastructure teams to ensure an optimal data & advance analytics platform, for current and future state 
  • Clean, prepare and optimize datasets, ensuring lineage and quality controls are applied throughout the data integration cycle 
  • Support BI Analysts in modelling data for visualization and reporting 
  • Stay current with advanced technologies, including AI/Machine learning, Data Management and cloud Data Warehouse 

What you will bring

  • Hands on experience with AWS suite of services supporting big data (Glue, Lambda, Athena, EMR and others)
  • 3 years of proven experience working in a Big Data environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field

Job Skills/Competencies Required

  • Experience with graph database (i.e., Neo4J, TigerGraph) would be an asset
  • Experience with integrating structured and unstructured data across various database platforms 
  • Experience in the Financial Services or Wealth Management industry would be preferred 
  • Proficient in Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL & related languages 
  • Proficient in SQL database management systems 
  • Knowledge of ETL tools such as Talend ETL and related suite of tools an asset
  • Knowledge of Tableau would be an asset 
  • Confident & versatile IT professional with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the Business and IT community
