WSP is looking for an intern who wishes to develop their expertise in mobility planning, for a full-time position during the fall of 2025, who will be able to join our Quebec team which brings together professional engineers, urban planners, landscape architects, geomaticians and technicians. 

Our experienced Mobility Planning team values ​​teamwork and collaboration throughout WSP. Our teams are united across Canada, and our scope extends beyond Quebec. We collaborate with other regions of Canada and occasionally outside the country, providing access to a variety of projects and extensive expertise. Our clients are diverse, both public and private (cities, OPTCs, Ministries of Transportation, private developers, and others). We cover all aspects and expertise of passenger and freight mobility planning: from policies and strategic plans to sustainable mobility plans, preparatory feasibility, opportunity, and preliminary design studies for road, rail, marine, and airport transportation projects. Our expertise is recognized for soft mobility and the development of structuring solutions for cycling and walking. Our Canadian centers of excellence in various areas of planning (active transportation, road safety, modeling, etc.) allow us to share and be at the forefront of current and future issues, with a view to investing intelligently in mobility and in our cities.

What you can expect to do with us:

• Act as a transport analyst in the context of various mandates in the mobility of people and goods; 
• Develop within a dynamic team made up of engineers, urban planners, landscape architects, geomaticians and technicians; 
• Support project managers in carrying out studies: sustainable mobility plans; feasibility studies, opportunity studies, preliminary design studies, etc.; 
• Coordinate the collection of data required for carrying out studies; 
• Use specialized software to model and simulate traffic conditions for pedestrians, cyclists, public transport users and motorists; 
• Carry out diagnoses on mobility conditions and participate in the search for solutions to meet needs; 
• Participate in the development of solutions: developments for active transport, infrastructure for public transport, road developments, etc. 
• Participate in meetings with clients (ministries, cities, transport companies, private developers, etc.); 
• Contribute to the production of deliverables: technical notes, reports, PowerPoint presentations, etc.;

What you will bring to WSP:

• Strong interest in transport projects and sustainable mobility; 
• Agile in a matrix work environment that fosters collaboration; 
• Interest in acquiring knowledge and developing skills in mobility modeling and simulation (Synchro, Vistro, Aimsun, etc.); 
• Ability to collect your OIQ permit; 
• Ability to communicate effectively in French, both orally and in writing.
