Quebec

WSP is currently looking for a  Junior Hydrogeologist  to join our Environment team  , located in our Quebec office. 

Responsibilities

  • Perform historical research and write phase I environmental assessment studies;
  • Compile and prepare tables of analytical results, format survey reports;
  • Analyze permeability tests carried out on site; 
  • Carry out sampling work on site (soils, groundwater, surface water, sediments, etc.);
  • Perform permeability tests and pumping tests;
  • Participate in the preparation of a conceptual model and in the review of hydrogeological data;
  • Participate in hydrogeological modeling work;
  • Participate in the preparation of service offers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or geology or any other training deemed equivalent, as well as a master's degree in hydrogeology;
  • Graduating or having experience in the field of environment or geology;


Job Skills/Competencies Required

  • Have a good command of Feeflow and / or Modflow software
  • Mobile and ready to work in remote areas as needed
  • Have good site skills (sampling, drilling, trenches, groundwater sampling)
  • Good knowledge of French and English;
  • Be a junior member of the Order of Engineers or Geologists or any other order;
  • Hold an ASP construction card;
  • Have a valid driver's license.
