We're looking for a passionate recent graduate to join our Ontario Highway Design Team in one of our offices (Mississauga, Ottawa or Thornhill). What you can expect to do here

  • Comprehensive Training & Mentorship : Learn all aspects of highway and drainage design using cutting-edge tools like InRoads, OpenRoads, MicroStation, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, AutoTurn, BIM software (Navisworks, Dynamo, Power BI), and more
  • Field Experience : Participate in site visits to observe and document existing conditions
  • Hands-On Design Work: Prepare technical analyses, alignments, geometrics, cost estimates, quantity calculations, reports, and technical memos
  • Innovative Design Solutions : Develop designs based on planning strategies and pre-engineering studies
  • Collaborative Environment : Attend technical meetings, prepare presentations, and contribute to team discussions
  • Quality Assurance : Review and check designs and drawings to ensure top-quality deliverables

What you'll bring to WSP

A university degree in Engineering (Civil preferred)

Some experience in highway/roadway design (an asset), ideally on MTO projects

Intent to register as a Professional Engineer in Ontario when eligible

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn

Adaptability to evolving digital technologies and methodologies

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

A valid G driver's license (an asset)
