We are currently seeking an Events Administrator to join our Marketing team. In this role, the successful candidate is expected to assist and carry out responsibilities related to the Events department, through administration and support. The purpose of the role is to support the corporate initiatives of CI Global Asset Management and CI Assante Wealth Management and their business units through virtual and in-person programs. This role involves managing and maintaining the Continuing Education (CE) program on CI’s CE Portal, answering all CE credit and event related queries in a timely manner, along with other event administrative tasks. This position reports directly to the Director, Event Marketing.

What you will do

  • As a key member of the team the Event Administrator will contribute in many areas as follows:
  • Applying for and issuing Continuing Education (CE) Credits and maintaining the Continuing Education (CE) program
  • Liaise with various regulatory agencies to keep up-to-date on CE requirements
  • Manage and track expenses relating to CE program  
  • Prepare cheque requisitions and expense reports
  • Assist with the planning of events (administrative and execution)
  • Answer calls and correspondence in a timely manner
  • Provide administrative support and assistance to the events team as required

What you will bring

  • 1 – 2 years of experience in Marketing/Event Administrator role
  • Prior administrative and/or customer service experience
  • Post-secondary education in marketing or related field

Working conditions

  • Fast-paced remote and normal office environment
  • Some travel might be required
  • Working outside office hours might be required as some events are not held during regular business hours

Job Skills/Competencies Required

  • General understanding of event management
  • Proficient with MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Strong customer-service orientation with strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • Self-starter with the ability to take ownership of projects, as well as multi-tasking multiple concurrent events and tasks
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Positive, outgoing team player with the ability to liaise with clients, sales and other business units.  
  • Bilingual (English/French) considered a strong asset
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
