We are seeking a Coordinator, Learning to join our team. This role can be based out of any of our offices nationally, and offers to work on a hybrid model.
The purpose of this role is to support the implementation of the Firm’s learning initiatives and to promote a culture of a continuous learning for all members of the Firm. As part of the Learning Team, the primary function of the role is to coordinate all program logistics in order to ensure the effective and efficient execution of all learning initiatives. Another primary function of this role is the administration of our learning management system.
Key Responsibilities:
Internal Programming
- Coordinate all program related logistics, including configuring all course settings in the LMS, prepare all program messaging to be sent via the LMS or through Outlook, arrange any in person boardroom and set-up requirements, liaising with presenters and vendors to prepare for the program and gather program materials, liaising with other business services group to ensure the in-person and/or virtual classroom is set up appropriately, and updating the internal planning rubric.
- Under the direction of the Manager, Learning, upload internally recorded content onto the LMS for post-program viewing.
- For group webcast viewings, coordinate all related logistics, including obtaining budget approval from the appropriate Practice or Speciality Group Leader or Business Services department.
Learning Management System (“LMS”) Administration
- Coordinate the creation of online courses, curricula, resources and other learning assets on the LMS.
- Verify CPD accreditation information is up to date and complete.
- Log attendance for live or virtual programs using sign in sheets, attendance surveys or virtual meeting usage reports and complete accuracy checks to ensure attendance is tracked appropriately.
- Pull attendance records of online viewing to ensure a complete CLE/CPD record of attendance.
- Generate automatic regular reporting to assess usage of the LMS and interest in programming offered.
- Act as the LMS administer and LMS subject matter expert by providing guidance on how to configure the platform, courses, curricula and users.
- Look for opportunities to develop efficiencies and automated processes in the LMS.
- Create templates and best practices for use by other members of the Learning team.
- Consult on new or novel uses of the LMS.
- Train the Learning team members and managers on the use the system.
CPD/CLE Accreditation
- Working with Manager, Learning, record all CPD accreditation statuses and information for programming.
- Create Barreau du Quebec certificates of attendance for applicable programs.
Supporting Content Development
- Support internal and external content development projects by consulting on appropriate LMS configurations, including how assessments and evaluations should be scored so proper data analytics can be run within the LMS, how to layout pre-work or post-work in the LMS, how the content is connected to learning paths or competencies, etc.
What you'll bring:
- Diploma, certificate or degree in Adult Education or Human Resources or 3-5 years of experience in a learning and development role.
- As the nature of the work involves supporting national programming in all provinces of Canada, including our office in Montreal, bilingualism in both English and French (written and spoken) is strongly preferred.
- Must have experience in administering a Learning Management System.
- Required technical skills include: Intermediate Excel, Intermediate-Advanced PowerPoint, Intermediate-Advanced Word, InterAction (Window Client).
- An understanding of adult learning principals and how to apply them in the workplace, an asset.
