Job Description & Qualifications

This role will be responsible for supporting compensation initiatives and programs for CI Financial and its subsidiaries.

What you will do

  • Assist in the development, implementation, communication and administration of base pay and bonus programs.
  • Conduct and participate in annual and ad-hoc market compensation and HR surveys.
  • Perform benchmarking and ad hoc market analysis to include research and presentation of suitable external and/or internal comparisons.
  • Maintain a job description databank in partnership with the Recruitment Team.
  • Facilitate and conduct job evaluations for new roles across the organization and maintain the job code database/job architecture.
  • Maintain and monitor Pay Equity in all applicable provincial jurisdictions.
  • Development and maintenance of datasets and support the development of standardized HR reports and generate these standardized reports along with ad-hoc report requests.   
  • Collaborate with the HR Operations team to ensure data integrity in the HRIS.
  • Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives.

What you will bring

  • Minimum two (2) years of compensation-related experience with HRIS experience.
  • Experience conducting job evaluations and complying with Provincial Pay Equity legislation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
  • CCP designation completed or in progress.

Job Skills/Competencies Required

  • Strong understanding of compensation theory, design, and best practices.
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficient in Word and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with proven analytical, mathematical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a highly dynamic environment with a high degree of ambiguity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Works effectively independently as well as within a team environment.
