Status:     Contract (18 Months)

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst II to join our Portfolio Operations team. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible to provide Daily Business Support for front-middle office applications, projects and workflow development pertaining to CI’s compliance, Portfolio management and portfolio operations teams. 

What you will do

  • Working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, apply expertise in various product areas to deliver high quality service.
  • Develop a strong proficiency with the investment applications being utilized for trading and portfolio management, and provide day-to-day support with a focus on continual improvement in dependability and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with compliance, portfolio managers, traders and operations to define the scope of new processes, projects and to document the associated workflows.
  • Establish, monitor and maintain high client satisfaction levels.
  • Works closely with the project managers, business users, QA, developers, and other technology professionals to ensure that project deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Prioritize testing tasks, scenarios and test cases and track and report on testing activities.
  • Cultivate effective working relationships with CI investment management and operations, custodians, clearers, auditors, data vendors and others in the industry. 


  • Candidate with 2+ years related work experience in a similar role or supporting front office trading.

Job Skills/Competencies Required

  • Advanced knowledge and experience with Charles River Order Management system and Bloomberg Data.
  • Experience with Investment/Accounting Book of Record systems
  • Excellent communications and listening skills required to document and understand business requirements
  • Strong knowledge of industry front-middle-back office practices associated with Portfolio management including Fund Accountants, Custodians and Data Vendors.
  • Knowledge and experiences with financial markets and complex instruments
  • Advanced Excel Skills & working knowledge of VBA and SQL
  • Effective time management and leadership skills
  • The ability to work independently and within a team setting
  • Solid conceptual and problem-solving skills to ascertain issues and provide recommendations
