Job Description & Qualifications

The Business Process Reengineering (BPR) Intern is responsible for leading and supporting optimization projects across Walmart Canada as a key driver of Low-Cost Operating Model. Using Lean Six Sigma and Project Management disciplines, as well as advanced automation tools like Robotic Process Automation, the individual will help simplify operations and reduce Walmart Canada’s expense base. The individuals in this role will focus on improving Store Support Centre (Head office), Store, Logistics, and eCommerce processes

What you'll do...

The BPR program has a record of driving significant organizational improvement and benefits tied to Walmart Canada’s strategic priorities, while developing Lean Six Sigma practitioners who can eventually play leadership roles within the business, as part of our talent and organizational capability development.

As a BPR Analyst, you will work alongside a team of individuals who will provide you with an invaluable experience to develop your competencies and engage you in the following functions:

  • Support process optimization initiatives in alignment with Business Process Reengineering and Project Management methodology
  • Participate in activities such as cross functional workshops, process mapping, gap analysis, time studies, interviews, statistical analysis, project planning, etc.
  • Analyze current processes to provide recommendations that result in the reduction of costs, decrease in cycle time, and improvements in quality/customer satisfaction
  • Designing process automation solutions in partnership with internal Technology departments
  • Preparing summary reports and presentations to internal stakeholder groups

During your internship you will be fully immersed in a team of process engineers, subject matter experts and Business leaders, building solutions and delivering on real life business challenges.
