Customer facing staff responsible for winning business Execute within a well defined sales/commercial framework. There is generally a step by step sequence of standard tasks which need to be followed to achieve an end result. Work is typically subject to tight oversight. This may be in form of human or systems checking. May be responsible for supporting targeted clients, stable regions, and/or small sales territories.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Within ASEAN area responsible for selling product(s), services, parts, solutions, or projects.
  • Developing conceptual knowledge of own discipline. Developing knowledge of own sales territory, product lines, markets, sales processes or customer groups. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area.
  • Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area.
  • Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults supervisor or more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.
  • Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding.

Required Qualifications

  • This role requires basic experience in the Sales.
  • Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).
  • Working knowledge in telecommunication/networking.

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in solution sales involving network design, network security and interworking.

Job Skills/Competencies Required

  • Knowledge of SCADA system communications.
  • Knowledge of Network Management concepts.
  • Highly regarded would be CCNA and beyond.
