Job Description & Qualifications

TFG Customer Engagement, part of the Customer Hub, is looking for a bright, energetic, self-starter to join our team. Reporting to the Customer Engagement Campaign Manager, you will work alongside 6 other campaign specialists (decision support analysts) to support the direct marketing and customer engagement objectives of TFG’s brands and the myTFGrewards programme.

Your days will be spent leveraging data and marketing technology to create and execute personalised direct marketing campaigns that meet your stakeholders’ direct marketing objectives, You will continuously measure the value those campaigns have added to business and then work with your stakeholders to optimise their direct marketing efforts so as to grow ROI. The environment is fast-paced, deadline driven and dynamic, so you need to be agile, comfortable with change and excited by the prospect of finding ways around challenges. 

Key responsibilities

  • Work with your stakeholders to understand their marketing objectives, and how those translate into direct marketing campaigns.
  • Where necessary – conduct pre-campaign analytics to help marketers to better formulate their DM campaign briefs.
  • Review campaign briefs to ensure they are leveraging all the data that the business has access to
  • Use marketing automation tools to build & execute direct marketing campaigns across multiple channels – according to brief and on deadline
  • Conduct post campaign analysis and report back the campaign performance
  • Use post campaign findings to optimise future campaigns to maximise ROI on direct marketing spend.
  • Quality check campaigns created by other campaign builders in the team
  • Help to train up any new resources that join the team on the processes, data environment, marketing tools etc. 

Skills, Competencies and Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-4  years of work experience with marketing automation, BI, database marketing, IT, BA or product management
  • Degree (Honours preferred) in Information Systems, BSc, Computer Science, Bcom, BBusScience
  • Experience with data extraction, campaign fulfillment, business analysis, project management, optimisation and report automation highly beneficial

Preference will be given, but not limited to, candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act.

Job Skills/Competencies Required

  • Level of technical proficiency with specific attention to the ability to program in SAS & SQL
