My role involves gathering, analysing and documenting. Translating these requirements into functional and non-functional specifications. Working with stakeholders at all levels. Business process modelling using tools like microsoft visio and rational tool set. 

What key advice would you give to current students who would like to get into a similar job to you?

I would advise current students to always go outside the scope of the curriculum to learn extra skills, participate actively in group assignments and presentations and also learn to effectively communicate.

Why do you think you got this job e.g. what skills/knowledge/experience etc?

Soft skills (communication and presentation skills) experience on the job constantly updating myself on the current trends and technologies within the industry and the occupational field.

Constantly researching what is new always keeps one in tune with the industry thereby making an individual very relevant.
