The Economist Intelligence Unit - Healthcare (Clearstate), offers healthcare-focused market and business intelligence services complimented by strategic advisory to help medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and healthcare service firms understand their current and potential markets, and implement pragmatic and innovative strategies to ultimately tap into new growth opportunities. EIU Healthcare/Clearstate aims to further augment its dynamic team by seeking high calibre and talented business consultants keen to grow their career in healthcare business advisory.

We are currently seeking an Trainee who will be part of the healthcare team assisting on global projects. This position would be based in Gurgaon, India and would be a 6 months contract, extendable to another 6 moths. 

Accountabilities

How you will contribute:

  • Market Research Vendor Liaison: maintain close liaison with vendors to communicate field work requirements clearly at the start of the project and to ensure fieldwork timelines are strictly adhered to
  • Field Project Management: Overseas field research activities, to manage vendor compliance & documentation and timely execution of assigned tasks
  • Field Project Execution: Conduct field surveys and interviews with medical professionals either face to face or over phone and to do transcript writing (English)

Experience, skills and professional attributes

Ideal Skills for this role are : 

  • 0 to 3 years of relevant experience preferably in healthcare consulting
  • Fresh graduates with good academic grades and keen interests in healthcare business consulting may be also be considered 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from top tier universities, preferably Science/Pharma major.
  • Exceptional command of written and spoken English, with good communication skills. 
  • Highly analytical, organized and meticulous 
  • Able to work in a fast pace team structure

  • Scheduling interviews and ensuring good candidate experience
  • Making and sharing offer letter with candidates

Headquartered in Singapore, Clearstate aims to augment its field operations by seeking to add a high calibre and enterprising personnel to the team.

Accountabilities

In the role you would be expected to:

  • Multi-country project engagements: Involve in project engagements within the healthcare industry across Asia Pacific, in the areas of go-to-market strategy, customer strategy, competitive strategy, partner assessment and business process innovation

  • Project execution: Support project teams in matters such as solution design, field operation overview, analysis and creative strategy formulation and project presentation

  • Client management: Liaise with clients in project kick-offs, updates and deliveries

Experience, skills and professional attributes

To succeed in the role you must have:

  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in primary and secondary market research and/or consulting

  • Bachelor’s degree from top tier universities

  • Ability to interact with C-level management

  • Exceptional command of written and spoken English

  • Basic skills in MS Office preferable

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Willingness to take intellectual challenges

  • Versatility, ability to think both inside and outside of the box

  • Ability to work in a fast paced team structure

  • Willingness to travel
