IT is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of technology solutions, information and data related services to Reliance#s businesses and functions. An IT incumbent is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of business technology, information and related services to Reliance#s businesses

He/she will be expected to be a part of IT function#s transformational journey in moving towards a function that systematically enables business objectives, and drives the identification and adoption of game-changing, value-adding technologies.

 

The Project Expediter is an integral member of the project team responsible for delivering building development projects of varying size and complexity. The Project Expediter is responsible for directing, organizing and controlling project activities, under the direction of a Project Manager (PM) & Program Manager

 

 Strong knowledge of Network, Voice, and Audio-Visual, Microsoft IT infrastructure, all virtualisation technology and stacks.

 

§  Effectively and accurately communicate relevant project information to the client and project team

 

§  Assist the PM in the drafting and issuance of project proposals, RFP’s, budgets and preliminary schedules

 

§  Inter-action with vendor and attending site meetings.

 

§  Work out detailed project plan, flow and time-line to be discussed and approved by business.

 

§  Ready to work in Non-AC environment.

 

 Job Accountabilities

 

§  Implementation of equipment’s as per Design basis of Network/Voice/IBS and AV Solution/Design/Drawings.

 

§  Create SOW when project approved.

 

§  Report day to day activities to Project Manager, Concerned Head & Acquire product knowledge on timely basis.

 

§  Responsible for executing tasks and producing deliverables as outlined in the Project Plan.

 

§  Resolve project issues.

 

§  Manage Change Requests for IT Infrastructure equipment configurations.

 

§  Keep the Project Manager and others informed about project status and issues that may impact project stakeholder relationship.

 

Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)

 

 Should have a good hands-on understanding of Technology Project Management and should have had the experience of managing complex IT projects with interdependencies and multiple stakeholders.

 

§  Thorough understanding of project management phases, techniques and tools:

 

o  Initiate

 

o  Prepare: definition/scope/requirements

 

o  Execute & Control: scope, workplans, resources, deliverables, Q/A, transition planning, etc.

 

o  Close: completion and assessment.

 

§  Experience in managing projects through use of processes like risk management, quality management, Issue/problem

 

§  Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment

 

§  Knowledge in creating / developing project schedules, estimation, establishing measures and milestones, definition, scoping, tracking etc.

 

§  Strong knowledge of Network, Voice, and Audio-Visual, Microsoft IT infrastructure and virtualisation.

 

§  Prioritizes own and team’s work.

 

Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications)

 

§  Bachelor's Degree

 

§  4+ year experience in IT field.

 

§  Prior experience as a member of an IT project team is preferred

 

§  Proficient in MS Project and the MS Office Suite of products.

 

Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.

Supervise and follow implementation of safety procedures and  processes in the fields

Ensure risk assessment and tool box talk prior to job execution

Support the shift superintendent in monitoring process parameters, troubleshooting & expediting maintenance

Provide field supervision for shutdown, startup and preservation

Effective use of OMPro tool

Mitigate process emergencies and emergency shutdown

Support efforts on special samples and improvement trials where relevant

Follow up with Field executive and maintenance executive to expedite maintenance activities and safe HOTO of equipment

Implement PIOs and support improvement studies in his area

Participate in learning from incidents and RCA discussions

Maintain shift logs for respective area / equipment

Self-Compliance to OD elements and enforce the same with subordinates for operational excellence.

Providing field training to the field Executives/subordinates.

Participating in improvement activities and providing the input/feedback to the superiors for the continual Improvement in the Plant performance, safe operations and ease of operations. 

Preparation of daily reports on the Plant performance highlights, raw material and Utilities consumption reports. Member of Auxiliary Fire Squad.

 

Education Requirement :

B.Tech/B.E, B.Sc. or Diploma Degree in Chemical Engineering

 

Experience Requirement :

He/she should have managed a team in his current/prior assignments

Relevant Experience - Degree holder 2 years

Ensures that document generated on project are logged in EDMS and distributed on time to all users of projects. Provide input to EDMS support staff to update document properties

Ensure that document properties are filled properly and as per project procedures
