Job Description

Come join Intel's Product Architecture Group to develop the best in class computing platforms in the domains of processor design, integrated graphics, automotive, machine learning, computer vision and supercomputing. You will be responsible for architectural explorations, evaluation for design alternatives, and performance validation. You will be developing and using state of the art simulation and analysis tools and technology to ensure future computing platforms deliver industry leading performance. You will be involved in defining micro-architecture and evaluating them in the performance model and will be requiring a deep understanding of the different competing architectures as well as the trade-offs or challenges in this space. You will need a strong background in computer architecture and performance analysis with a focused expertise in several of these areas: computer architecture, performance simulation and analysis, accelerators, high-performance memory architectures. This role will require strong cross-division collaboration with architects, product leads and designers. Strong motivation to work in dynamic environment and be able to determine relevant investigations, generate necessary experiments and data and draw and defend results and conclusions is imperative.



Qualifications
Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
* MS/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Architecture, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering,
* Experience needed in following areas: - computer architecture, design or performance - system level experience, CPU, network, GPU.
* Software development and/or application development, optimization and debugging
* Exposure and understanding of workloads and benchmark performance - platform level architectures and performance
* Performance modelling, simulations and analysis.
* Need excellent programming, SW development and debugging skills: C/C++ and scripting languages
* Preferred Qualifications: PhD candidate in computer architecture or computer science will be preferred

Job Description: Implement hierarchical elements of multi power domains, multi clock digital chip design including but not limited to Hierarchical partitioning, floor plan, power plan, physical Synthesis, clock tree synthesis and routing. Perform verification including RC extraction, EM & IR-Drop analysis, static timing analysis and closure, layout verification - DRC, LVS, ERC, ESD netchecks, cross voltage domain verification and abstract views generation. Troubleshoots a wide variety and difficult design issues and applied proactive intervention.
