Role Overview

Manage the day to day operations of Global Markets in Algeria, while supporting the overall Global Markets strategy in maximizing the shareholders return, meeting the AOP and preserving the reputation of the business in all aspects. 
The jobholder is required to manage the corporate treasury activities, the retail banking FX business, the liquidity and balance sheet for HSBC Algeria. In addition, the incumbent needs to handle the foreign exchange and money market positions for the bank within delegated limits.
The jobholder is required to build a strong contact with corporate clients, local banks and other stakeholders to ensure we have a close relation and are able to deliver an outstanding service.
In addition, they will need to liaise with other functions and businesses within the bank, to support and assist them in maximizing their profits and encouraging them to cross sell GM products.

Duties & Responsibilities

Customers / Stakeholders

- Growth of profitable and sustainable business 
- Maintain a qualitative and intense connectivity with clients
- Maintain a strong relationship with RMs
- Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets

Leadership & Teamwork

- Sharing best practice across the region & other GM teams
- Participating in Industry / Community Forums to build contacts and profile
- Developing and assisting colleagues in various tasks
- Provide the best service to corporate customers by making frequent telephone calls with clients and providing them with up to date market commentaries

Experience & Qualifications

- A good understanding of global financial markets, banking and Treasury products, and their accounting/risk profiles.
- A Business Administration university degree, or equivalent, from a recognized university
- Knowledge/understanding of local regulation i/o CB of Algeria .

Role Overview:

This is an outbound face-to-face customer facing role to generate revenue by delivering product recommendations and sales fulfilment to customers who require specific products.  The primary focus is on multiple sales streams or specialist products, however can identify cross sell opportunities based on customer need and refers where necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and fixes appointments for meeting potential customers in order to present the products and services

  • Provides the Sales Team with periodic reports of visits, i.e. Sales achievements, problems, customers’ feedback and any suggestions in order to help the team in achieving its targets

  • Provides sales management with daily sales Activity reports

  •  Visits the potential customers and presents the services / products in an appropriate manner in order to contribute in meeting Sales targets

  • Maximizes all sales opportunities as sales management requests

  • Presents high quality sales to potential/ existing customers as per HSBC service quality standards

  • Submits applications and required documents to team leader& Mid-Office for checking and processing in a timely manner

  • Participates in all sales activities, exhibitions, campaigns, promotions

  • Abides by HSBC rules and regulations in all their job activities

  • Awareness of the operational risk associated with the role and the action to be taken to minimize the likelihood of operational risk occurring including risk identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting

  • Leadership over all regulatory and compliance matters and the management of operational risk

  •  Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets

Experience & Qualifications:

  • B. University  (BA) or (BS)
  • years of working experience
  • Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Customer-oriented and with a self-learning attitud
  • Strong self-motivation, can work under pressure.
  • Computer literate, with basic skillsets (MS Office)
