AUTHORITY & RESPONSIBILITY

  • Has the authority to make cargo related decision that affects the safety and/or security of Cargo Operations.
  • Has the authority to intervene and report on any clear instances of an intended act of unlawful interference to the security of the operation.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Abide to all reference of quality and/or standards that are laid out in different areas of service provision that meet the safety, operational and commercial objective of the airline.
  • Notify consignees upon arrival of consignments as required.
  • Ensure correct delivery of documents and consignment.
  • Prepare receipts/ invoice in accordance with applicable cargo rates and collect freight charges.
  • Monitor undelivered or rejected consignments. Apply storage charge as necessary. Notify the Cargo Import and Service Delivery Manager if consignment is not cleared within the allocated time.
  • Responsible for the correct handling of all paperwork generated by the cargo delivery process and related transactions.
  • Issue Cargo Charges Correction advice and take follow up action.
  • Ensure that cash and other mode of payments as authorised by Air Seychelles are correctly and accurately handled and tallied with the receipts at the end of each working day, and report any irregularities immediately to the Cargo Import and Service Delivery Manager.
  • Conduct any other related duties as may be required by line management.

 

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND PERSONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • IGCSE/O’ Level qualification *
  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the aviation industry *
  • Conversant with the airline and/or warehouse operations
  • Good knowledge of safety management system
  • Ability to adjust to a continually evolving regulatory environment
  • Good decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Good financial acumen- Confident with figures
  • Customer service oriented- Good customer service skills
  • Strong communication, verbal and written, and interpersonal skills.  Able to communicate with a wide range of people, including clients
  • Excellent time management- Able to handle multiple tasks and meet short deadlines
  • Good computer literacy – Conversant with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Observant with a keen eye for detail
  • A team player
  • Ability to competently work under pressure

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct and deliver right time scheduled & ad-hoc tours and safaris according to the selected itinerary through our 3 main principles of Safety, Education and Enjoyment. Create a positive and lasting guest experience and impression of the region in accordance with the standards set by Hala Abu Dhabi and TCA Tour Guide licensing
  • Ensure that the delivery of safari products are both an exciting and safe off-road driving and camp experience in accordance to the training and safety standards provided and the comfort level of the guest
  • Act as ambassador for Hala Abu Dhabi in the delivery of incentive and familiarization trips for tour operators and potential business partners of Etihad. Lead the group according to the itinerary and ensure that the event runs without fault
  • Responsible for all accounting aspects of the job, including entry tickets into venues across the UAE, cash float where relevant, and any receipts and log books in respect of fuel consumption. Follow all company procedures and processes as set out in the standard operating procedures
  • Responsible for all vehicle safety and guest safety whilst on duty. Adhere to the UAE and RTA law with respect to road safety and conduct
  • Promote Hala Abu Dhabi products and encourage incremental sales of tours and safaris. Act as subject matter expert with regards to the product range, the emirate of Abu Dhabi, the UAE and Etihad Airways
  • Deal with guest complaints in a pro-active and solution focused manner. Follow up with the client wherever necessary. Report all service delivery failings and guest feedback to the office in the event of guest compensation
  • Responsible for service food and also alcohol to the guest. 


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • English + one other fluent foreign language skills which meets with the demographic of our client base.
  • Clean International drivers licence with minimum of 5 years
  • 3 years in customer facing role ideally in the field of travel or tourism
  • Confident communicator

 

TRAINING & KNOWLEDGE

  • Excellent knowledge of the UAE
  • Minimum 12 months driving experience in the UAE

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure Maintenance is performed at the highest level in accordance with relevant technical data and in that respect keeps him/herself updated on current and new Technical and Quality Notices issued as well as general/technical information.
  • Ensure maximum attention is given to quality workmanship and on time performance - assuring that all materials, tooling and equipment are accountable, as well as associated documentation prepared in advance to the task in hand.
  • Inform and consult with Aircraft Engineer as required to enable the Aircraft engineer to maintain a complete overview of zonal areas.
  • Ensure all Aircraft documentation and paper work is completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintains a FOD free working area by maintaining housekeeping and cleanliness before, during and after work.
  • Develop one’s self and increase Aircraft knowledge with ultimate goal for further career development. Accepts appropriate training that will enable a more effective contribution.
  • Be proactively involved in all Health and Safety matters.
  • Ensures that all unused serviceable and unserviceable items are annotated with the correct label attached and forwarded to Supply Chain.
  • Ensures any tooling or equipment used is duly cleaned and returned in serviceable condition, or clearly labeled if defective.


 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Completed Apprenticeship with Airline or Approved Organization OR Aviation based Diploma/Equivalent formal OJT/ level of experience
  • Able to achieve EASA / GCAA Part 66 License
  • Meets IELTS / ICAO English (Verbal & Written)
  • Minimum 2 years Base/Heavy Maintenance Experience on Wide Body or EY Fleet types


 

TRAINING & KNOWLEDGE

  • Computer literate
  • Sound knowledge of aviation regulations
