Job Description & Qualifications

Objective 

To perform PTF operational activities (field and DCS) in a safe and effective manner to achieve the quality and quantity according to the production plan as directed by the Shift Supervisor  

 

Main Tasks

  • To ensure operational routine activities such as vessel loading/ discharging and pipeline transfers are carried out safely and efficiently manner
  • Perform housekeeping duties of the port tank farm/terminal keep the areas in a safe, clean conducive environment to improve productivity
  • Collect, label and store wastes as per Waste Disposal Procedure
  • Perform field LOTO as per master red tag and / or isolation procedure
  • Perform routine field inspection and monitor of the assigned units (specific port tank farm area), by taking appropriate action and/or reports any abnormalities observed
  • Performs operational trouble shooting with full supervision from shift supervisor and deputy shift supervisor as and when required. Perform truck loading activity, as and when required with supervision
  • Record operating parameters in the field and DCS and log sheets, review, analyse and recommend action to maintain smooth, efficient and optimum operations
  • Perform any other duties as instructed by superiors such as assist other areas of the PTF, assists contractor as manhole and fire watch, assist on office work and etc.
  • Perform start-up, shutdown and emergency activities with minimal supervision in accordance with established procedures and instruct

 

Requirements

  • Diploma in related field/ Diploma in Process from Institute Technology PETRONAS (INSTEP)
  • Working experience in ship loading operations, DCS operating system or tank storage environment is an added advantage
  • Some working experience in terminal process or storage terminal environment is an advantage
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Proactive, posses drive and commitment towards standard and performance for self

BASF Shared Services Center Kuala Lumpur was established in 2005. Located in Kuala Lumpur, the shared services center has nearly 700 employees and provides functional services in the areas of Finance, Controlling, Information Services, Human Resources, Environment, Health & Safety, Procurement and Import-Export Operations Services to BASF companies and affiliates in 17 markets across the Asia Pacific region. BASF has three other shared services centers located in Berlin and Ludwigshafen in Germany and in Montevideo, Uruguay, that cover Europe and the Americas.

 

Objectives

  • Provide Accounts Payable transaction processing support to deliver Accounts Payable services to BSSCKL‘s customers in accordance with established Accounts Payable processes and work procedures and in compliance with BASF policies, FRC requirements and local company legal and statutory requirements (if applicable).
  • Ensure that timelines and quality meet the agreed service levels and targets.
  • To act as a backup, assist and perform other AP tasks as and when required.
  • Support new and existing team members through proper knowledge transfer, sharing of resource, knowledge and experience

 

Job Description

  • Process accounts payable workflow (Invoicing) within the given time frame
  • Attend to the Accounts Payable inbox and assigned tickets accordingly 
  • Fill-up rejection forms accordingly, reason should be clearly identified and no invalid rejection. 
  • Monitor and process urgent requests before the specified deadline. 
  • Enter recurring entries on the 1st working day of the month. 
  • Resolve accounts payable and vendor issues
  • Create ticket (Quick Close) for all service requests
  • Process all the expense claims request received from local company as per agreed timeline.
  • Resolve Concur error, i.e. ensure complete information received and edit for auto-posting (interfaced to SAP).
  • Process VAT claims 
  • Perform vendor reconciliation and coordinating with local company and vendor to resolve any issue.
  • Perform month end process and prepare month end reports

 

Requirements Education 

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration

 

Working Experience

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of working experience in Accounts Payable or any other accounting function preferably from a Shared Services
  • Technical & Professional Knowledge
  • Basic knowledge and experience of MS office tools
  • Proficiency in English with good communication and writing skills
  • Experience working in an SAP work environment

Objective

  • Conduct Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Reviews during the planning and detailed design stage of capital investment projects in BPC Kuantan as per relevant group directives. Additionally, prepare and guide sites and project group in preparing draft safety concept for larger capital investment projects in the site

 

Main Tasks

  • To interpret mandatory BASF Group directives & requirements in Process Safety, corporate Responsible Care principles & policies and local regulations and translate the same into comprehensive guidelines, procedure & programs and provide support in implementation of the same 
  • Provide guidance in implementation of guidelines and programs through workshops and training, and monitor implementation at the site by continuous review, assessments and audits to achieve and continuously improve high standard of Process Safety performance 
  • Investigation of all process safety incidents, sharing of process safety incidents with all site colleagues as part of knowledge sharing 
  • Act as competence center and advisor for process safety issues 

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Science from recognized university 
  • Preferred 3 years or more of demonstrated experience, this is either direct manufacturing or direct manufacturing support (TES-type) experience 
  • Language proficiency, HSE Awareness, Communication & Interpersonal Understanding, Analytical Thinking, Conflict Management 
  • Well advance in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) applications and able to work around for enhancement. Intermediate in Microsoft PowerPoint and able to lead a conversation 
  • Able to work under intense pressure in a fast paced environment and deliver within tight deadlines
