Company Overview

Pudong Association of Returned Overseas Scholars (PAROS) is a non-profitable NGO that organises returned overseas scholars in Pudong New Area, Shanghai. The association aims at promoting unity among returned overseas scholars, fostering friendship among them, carrying out academic and information exchange and promoting cooperation, help them to set up their businesses in Pudong, and then to promote the economics of Pudong.

PAROS organises the Lantern Festival and the Moon Festival parties with hundreds of members every year. This provides a communication bridge between the returned overseas scholars.

PAROS also regularly organises salons, training, shows, lectures and competitions to enrich and vary the life of returned overseas scholars.

PAROS is located in Zhangjiang Overseas Science Park, Zhangjiang Hi-tech Park, and employs nine full-time stuff. PAROS′s day-to-day activities include sponsoring lectures, training, forums, symposiums and friend gatherings; editing and publishing in-house newsletters and periodicals and also collections of papers; organising activities and tours so that members can pool and give play to their expertise across disciplines and professional fields in making suggestions and giving advice; and also helping local government to attract the service of high-caliber professionals, make use of new technologies and bring in investment funds in the interest of its social, economic and cultural development.

PAROS has five branches. They are Biology and Medicals, Software and Information Technology, Communication and Integrated Circuit, Finance and Consulting. Each branch organises different activities to improve communication between returned scholars in the field.

We expect practical application and expertise more than theoretical knowledge.

Candidates need to be hard working, willing to learn new things, be a quick learner with good interpersonal skills and a good team worker.
