Company Overview

As the UK’s largest car manufacturer, JLR announced its global Reimagine strategy in 2021 to deliver a sustainability-rich vision of modern luxury by design. In 2023, JLR unveiled its latest initiatives for its “Reimagine” strategy - its House of Brands approach and electrification roadmap, to accelerate its transition to become the world’s leading modern luxury car manufacturer. By shifting to the House of Brands approach, JLR will amplify the unique character of each of our brands, accelerating the delivery of the company’s vision.

Set against a canvas of true sustainability, JLR will become a more agile creator of the world’s most desirable luxury vehicles and services for the most discerning of customers. We are transforming our business to become carbon net zero across our supply chain, products, and operations by 2039. Electrification is central to this strategy, and before the end of the decade, JLR will transform into an electric-first modern luxury business, with our Range Rover, Discovery, and Defender collections each having a pure electric model, and Jaguar being entirely electric.

China plays a pioneering role in bringing the Reimagine strategy to life. JLR entered China in 2010 and is headquartered in Shanghai, with three regional offices in Beijing, Guangzhou and Chengdu. Nearly 240 authorised dealers are currently operating in China, providing modern luxury experiences to local consumers with high-quality products and exceptional services. We are continuing to enrich our product line-up and accelerate localisation in China. At present, the new Ingenium 2.0-litre engine and five models have been put into production in China.
