Come and join us! Intel is seeking highly qualified candidates to join our Data Center Group (DCG) as a Software Video Compression Developer!

This position is an Intel full-time employee and is located in Vancouver, Canada. 

Join our Intel Data Center Group Division at the Marine Gateway site in Vancouver. Our team is driving the innovation in SW video compression algorithms targeting the Intel Xeon CPUs and Data Centre platforms. As a member of our team, you'll get to take part of producing cutting edge video compression technologies, Scalable Video Technology (SVT), with the latest and greatest Intel CPUs.

Your tasks would include, but not be limited to, the following:

  • Maintain open source products in an agile development process
  • Implement new features at the video application / API level
  • Debug and fix bugs across the SVT encoder implementations
  • Script and automate custom scripts for testing and evaluating different video compression products
  • Work with frameworks such as ffmpeg and gstreamer
  • Benchmark and validate the performance of multiple products on several platforms
  • Set up debug systems and/or performance systems according to precise HW specifications.

  • Command-line applications in both Windows and Linux.
