About the Department

The Retail function provides Personal and Business Banking customers with financial solutions tailored to their needs. We help them manage their money wisely and meet their financial goals through an extensive range of products and services. These include deposit, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, investment and wealth advisory services.

Personal Financial Services

We design and provide products and services that empower our customers to enjoy greater banking convenience while they extract more value from their money. In particular, we are focused on promoting and developing healthy saving and investment practices across generations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all foreign exchange (FX) related products: MaxiYield (Dual Currency Product), spot FX and FX Structured Notes
  • Establish partnerships with client advisors to serve clients’ FX needs and drive growth in the FX business
  • Give presentations on market trends to client advisors and clients
  • Generate ideas in accordance to market conditions and capitalize on any opportunities via FX solutions
  • Conduct training for client advisors to improve their competency in FX products
  • Undertake other ad hoc tasks and projects for business needs

Job Requirements

  • A recognized tertiary education with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Possess the relevant accreditations (CMFAS 5 & 8)
  • Preferably able to speak fluent Mandarin as the role requires you to communicate with clients from North Asia
  • Detailed and self-motivated team player who is able to work under pressure.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills are critical

The Global Market function leverages our in-depth knowledge of markets to provide timely financial advice, products and solutions to our clients. Together with our segment managers, we manage our clients’ investment, liability and risk management needs through a comprehensive suite of treasury products and services across multiple asset classes.

Job Responsibilities

  • Processing, reconciling, investigating and monitoring margin calls under VMCSA, CSA and GMRA:-
    • Performing Data Quality analysis prior to issuing margin calls
    • Margin Call issuance and responding to incoming margin calls
    • Booking of eligible Credit Support (Free of Payment cash/bonds/Tri-party or repricing)
    • Dispute resolution through portfolio reconciliation
    • Perform and respond to control reporting to ensure effective break/fails and exception management
  • Check and process interest settlements
  • Project management
  • Legal agreements negotiations
  • Compiling statistical and management reports
  • Month end reconciliations
  • Ensure static data is updated in APEX CCS

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Economy/Finance/Management or experience in the banking industry
  • Between 0 to 5 years’ experience within Bank Operations / Capital Markets
  • Preferably a sound knowledge in all treasury products including both over-the-counter, exchange-traded derivative products and documentations like ISDA, CSA, VMCSA & GMRA etc.
  • Previous experience in Collateral Management. Derivative Middle-Office and reconciliation are a plus
  • Strong communication skills and team player, required for an effective liaison across multiple stakeholders
  • Risk awareness and attention to detail
  • Time management and ability to prioritize effectively based on the risk / time criticality of the tasks required
  • Innovative mindset and able to improve processes to minimize risk and increase efficiency
  • Fluency in English
  • Strong Excel / Access skills
