The role is accountable for all finance partnering support to Malaysia Rx to maximize value creation consistent with the GSK financial architecture. The Finance Partner will be the key contact to support strategy and decision making with critical business insights.  

The Finance partner will also be required to support to the Senior Finance Director and work with Finance Hubs in accordance with the finance operating model.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Partnering

  • Analyze management reports and presenting financial results to senior management
  • Key Finance contact of Business Unit (BU) heads 
    • Own performance with BU heads and actively contributes to the achievement of business objectives
    • Financial analysis to support decision making on profitability and resources
    • Support new product launches
    • Identify business risks and opportunities and support in developing mitigation and action plans
  • Assess financial feasibility of Business development initiatives
  • Consolidate insights to support the business in preparation and determination of business goals strategies and tactics 
  • Support the infrastructure build and implementation of the new commercial model delivery
  • Drive Finance Acumen amongst commercial teams

Close & Control 

  • Provide additional insight to analyze performance and business judgements to support financial entries

Planning & Forecasting

  • Liaise with Commercial teams & Hubs to generate monthly forecast leveraging on CCC and subsequently develop multi-year Finance targets
  • Lead plan / forecast review preparation and support senior management as required

Basic qualifications: 
You are a passionate Finance Partner with the following attributes: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/Accounting/Finance or any related discipline.
  • Understanding of financial systems and processes
  • Working knowledge of accounting, budgeting and forecasting principles.
  • Minimum Expected Finance Partnering Capabilities: Driving Partnership, Being Enterprise Minded, Questioning & Challenging 
  • Excellent communicator and confident in interacting with non-finance teams including members of Senior Management. Experience working in a commercial / operations preferred.
  • Developing highly effective working relationships and to achieve the partnership status with business Strong analytical skills -- accuracy and excellent attention to detail; ability to successfully analyses large volumes of data whilst maintaining the big picture.
  • Proven ability to work under pressure against tight and changing deadlines and prioritize work and deliver.
  • FMCG / Pharmaceutical industry experience would be a bonus

Regulatory Affairs Management: Maintains the organisation's on-going relationships with regulatory commissions/authorities relating to clinical issues.  Ensure compliance as required by regulatory commissions/authorities.  Develops programs and processes to manage complaint cases brought to regulatory authorities and develops process improvements to avoid future complaints.  Advances organisation positions with internal and external parties.  In addition to the line management responsibilities, would be involved in the strategy across therapy areas.

Regulatory: Performs audits to ensure that the organisation is in compliance with government laws and regulations. Directs the development of submissions of product registration. Interacts with regulatory agencies to answer questions regarding submissions. Responsible for the preparation, publication, and delivery of paper and electronic components of all submissions. This includes proper formatting bases on the agency requirements.

Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will be exposed to below responsibilities:

1. Develop insights on market situation and prepare recommendation accordingly
2. Conduct assessment of private market and JKN to work collaboratively with KAM, Market Access Manager, and Commercial Trade Channel team to deliver result on the strategy set. 
3. Develop pricing strategies, evaluate effectiveness of pricing strategies and modifies pricing structures as needed. 
4. Develop revenue-maximizing market pricing for new and existing products.
5. Assess pricing and market access risks arising from pricing changes. 
6. Provide reporting and documentation of pricing structures and serves as the point of contact for pricing inquiries from internal business unit including JKN reimbursement market listing process.
7. Drive and coordinate the process of designing and managing pricing initiatives within business unit. 
8. Assist with business case/pricing negotiations of customers’ proposals.
9. Maintain and regularly update a pricing history database. 
10. Perform partnering internal stakeholders to ensure integrated profit maximizing approach to market.
