Job Description & Qualifications

Responsibilities

The incumbent will:

  • Act as the Cost Challenger for categories.
  • Be commercially responsible and accountable for the outcome of the country procurement missions in collaboration with countries and respective stakeholders.
  • Take part, together with Country HoPs, in target-setting based on the 3-year category strategies defined, and monitor results.
  • Ensure contribution to the Group Health and Safety ambitions.
  • Support the application of the strategic sourcing process (utilizing the e-Sourcing tools for RFPs, tenders and e-auctions) for the categories, by deploying innovative sourcing strategies, while leveraging on the innovation potentials with stakeholders and suppliers. He/she will support the creation of country category catalogs when possible.
  • Identify savings opportunities and initiate individual projects and initiatives at country level.
  • Support the implementation and tracking of performance indicators and the achievement of results.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to regional management and countries as required.
  • Support the countries in scope to execute the category strategies, business cases and regional contracts as required and agreed.
  • Develop tender and contract templates, including pricing strategies, methodologies, sourcing processes and best practices specific to the categories, and share those with the respective countries for implementation at country level.

 

Job dimensions:

  • Works together with country procurement team members, regional stakeholders, and cross-functional team members. 
  • Cost Saving Target: TBD % net savings (based on total spend) year by year for 2019-2021.
  • Full accountability and high autonomy in the execution of the role and significant influence across the respsective countries in scope.
  • Key interfaces, stakeholders and relationships:

 

Internal

  • CPO, Area Managers and Country CEO’s.
  • Country HoPs, Country HR, Industrial/Plants Mgrs, Maintenance & Production Mgrs.
  • The Group Procurement Network
  • Regional Functional organizations as stakeholders and cross-functional team members: CIP, Legal, IT, Finance, Shared Services, HR.

 

External

  • Supplier base (direct relationships with key suppliers and some key account managers).
