The Social Learning Specialist will build social learning portals and communities. The specialist will develop, in partnership with stakeholders, social learning portals & implement social engineering strategies to build social learning communities, build traction, moderate community created online content as per guidelines, organise online events, plan community engagement to engage learners.

Job Accountabilities

Support the Social Learning Lead to implement a social learning strategy as per roadmap and in support of the RIL Group framework (e.g. Values & Behaviors; Leadership Expectations)

Support the Social Learning Lead to work with owners of learning programs throughout RIL to embed social learning within these programs, for example within Discover Reliance, our on-boarding portal.

Support the Social Learning Lead to conduct scoping, audience analyses, suitability for building online communities and provide creative direction for design and functionality of the social learning portals that are aligned with business requirements.

Manage and develop relationships with all stakeholders to ensure that communities are organized in accordance with data privacy and security requirements.

Working with the Governance and Knowledge Management teams to manage the communication and marketing of online learning community activities.

Identifying innovative ways of building traction among social learning communities within RIL that can lead to tacit knowledge harvesting.

Plan and manage content and the subscriber base, providing regular content updates and editorial communications relating to the community.

Support Social Learning Lead to create and own SMART community objectives and provide measurement and reporting relating to the success of the communities.

 

Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)

4+ years progressive experience learning & development function.

Undergraduate degree or equivalent with proven ability to learn and adopt to the changing requirements.

Good understanding of learning communities and social media /web 2.0 technologies.

A proven track record in design and development learning content and online learning communities.

Experience of building social communities using social media platforms.

Flair for creating editorial content and for curating and managing pre-existing content

Familiarity with online collaboration tools used in the development and delivery of synchronous or asynchronous online collaboration, for example Adobe Connect, WebEx, portal technologies, Sharepoint, Google Hangouts, etc.

Ability to manage third parties

A desire for continuous self-improvement and the drive to work on projects which will drive industry best practice

Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects/communities

Self-motivated & pro-active

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Short Description

Analyse Laboratory/Pilot and FCC commercial unit scale data for evaluating the performance of FCC catalyst/ additives/Feedstcoks and for modelling the Kinetic/ Hydrodynamic aspects of Fluid bed processes required during developing of new processes; with an overall objective to support manufacturing units in improving process, catalyst/additive and products.

Analyse the performance of commercial FCC units for troubleshooting long term process, equipment and process issues.

Do design of experiments required for FCC catalyst/additive development and for process development /improvement.

Achieve maximum degree of compliance with respect to project targets.

Job Accountabilities

Develop Kinetic/ Hydrodynamic models related to Fluid bed processes as a part of the activities undertaken during development of new processes.

Use commercial process flow sheeting tools (like Aspen Plus) for process modelling and troubleshooting of FCC and other refining processes.

Carry out simulation/modelling studies required for optimizing process operation and for developing /feasibility check of potential process modifications for FCC

Participate for troubleshooting of long term problems related to FCC process, equipment or catalyst/ additive

Analyse laboratory and Pilot plant data for evaluating the performance/yields of new catalyst/additive for FCC units and prepare draft reports

Analyse the yield/performance data from Lab reactors / FCC unit during commercial trials of new catalyst/additive/feed.

Participate in benchmarking, generate technical reports/publications/ patents.

Update on developments in refining technologies in the area of simulation and modelling related to FCC.

 

Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)

Good command on of basic chemical engineering particularly reaction engineering, fluid dynamics, heat and mass transfer.

Good knowledge in computational methods and optimization techniques

Familiar with  modelling tools like MAT Lab or any other programming Language

Good knowledge on various types of Lab reactors

 

Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications)

M.Tech / PhD in chemical engineering from reputed institution with 0-3 years’ experience

Familiarity with any process flow sheeting tool like Aspen Plus, PRO II etc

Job Accountabilities

Supervise and execute laboratory / pilot plant experiments pertaining to supported noble metal catalysis research such as catalyst preparation using various methods, catalyst characterization using textural, structural & spectroscopic analysis & evaluation of catalysts in chemical transformations.

Organize facilities for experiments in supported noble metal catalysis research such as chemicals, equipments, analytical methods etc..

Conduct literature survey in the area of supported noble metal catalysis research and compile information for dissemination & critical analysis.

Develop work method and prepare SOPs for experiments in supported noble metal catalysis research including designing & planning of experiments.

Accountable for Safety Health and Environment while working in laboratory.

Make available data for drafting scheduled progress reports & Prepare technical reports and data documentation in time.

Review validity of analysis and test methods related to supported noble metal catalysis research.

Participate in scale-up plant trials featuring supported noble metal catalysis & interact with team members located across different centres.

Assist in plant trouble shooting pertaining to supported noble metal catalysis.

 

Skills Required (Knowledge and Skills)

Knowledge of principles of heterogeneous catalysis & hands on experience in catalyst synthesis & evaluation in vapour phase and liquid phase catalytic reactors.                                                        

Specialized knowledge & skills in preparation by different techniques, characterization by structural/ morphological/ spectroscopic/ textural tools and catalytic applications of supported noble metal catalysts.                                                        

Sound knowledge of inorganic material synthesis by various chemical approaches.

Awareness of application of catalysis in petrochemical & refining.

 

Key Attributes (Experience and Qualifications)

Ph.D. in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering with specialization in Heterogeneous catalysis/inorganic material synthesis. Experience in noble metal catalysis is preferred.
